All exemplars of the collection are unique or smallest limited editions which are specially catered to the history of the movement by the designers of the company. The individual production on the clients demand makes its possible for the customer to create his or her own watches.
You can select historical movements from the stock of Timekeeper Chronometre. The brand also offers the possibility to create your own case, to define the decoration of movement and realise your ideas in the design of the dial. There are no limits concerning the choice of materials and decoration with jewels.
The motto " the client is king " is really applied at Timekeeper Chronometre .
Movements
In Timekeeper Chronometre watches you will find everything from state of the art ETA movements to historically unique movements , which date back to the very early days of European watch making. However there are fundamental differences in the production process of these watches.
The easiest way to produce watches is the use of the ETA movements. Generally these movements are available in an unlimited quantity. Finally all components are put together so that a watch is born, which will find its way to consumer market. Revising a watch movement like this is normally unnecessary. More special and demanding is the production of watches with new old stock movements of the 1940s and 1980s.Original drawings are mostly lost and the movements have to be re-measured.The production of each case is done exclusively.Normally only a limited quantity of 50 to 300 watches is available which turns the watches into items for collectors and aficionados.Matching dials and hands are often hard to find. More over the movements have to be disassembled and even though they have never been used before they have to be completely revised. The real watch making starts here.
For the production of watches with historical movements from the late 18'th century and older, singular skills are required. In almost every single detail you find a unique part: every case, every pusher, every dial even each hand is adjusted individually. The movement is completely disassembled, cleaned and decorated.
A network of first rate supplies for old and special movements enables Timekeeper Chronometre to produce really limited edition timepieces. Those special editions are defined by their movements, which are no longer being produced.A lot of those movements are more than 50 years old, spent decades in private collections and can today, as a part of new watches, be handed to lovers of exclusive things.
Historical movements from legendary movement makers such as Valjoux,Venus, AS, Felsa and UNITAS find their way to Timekeeper Chronometre watches after decades and stir the feelings of afficinados of the art of horology. Many of those movements were used by companies such as Rolex, Breguet and Breitling , and have formed the basis of their present success. These movements, unused and thus in mint condition, are disassembled meticulously, cleaned, oiled , to finally be applied to watches.
XL & XXL Collections from Timekeeper Chronometre feature special treasures. The size of these models is caused by the measures of historical watch movements that make these watches real unique. The movements often older than 100 years, are contemporary witnesses and have survived the hard times of former generations.

Highest quality in each stage of production is our claim...

How this special watches are created
After the design has been made, an own drawing for each unique model is created. The high qualified workers of Timekeeper Chronometre snatch back at highly modern techniques. At the decoration of your watch, the original techniques given from generation to generation are used which can only be used by few masters world wide. The movement is disassembled by the watch makers of Timekeeper Chronometre and after wards guilloched and engraved in smallest work.
Case & Dial
Lathe and milling machines are used to adjust the case to the historical movements.Various means of sanding and polishing provide the finish.Timekeeper Chronometre also restores stainless steel cases on demand.
The dials of unique and limited edition timepieces are produced (from production to printing) at Timekeeper Chronometre Workshop .First, the rough dials are turned, miled , then varnished and finally provided with the individual print. The company also offers special engravings on the bottom of the cases.
Finishing
The technical finish is a form of decoration in high grade watch movements. The Cote de Geneve look like stripes on the movement plates.
Perlage is applied to the inside surfaces of plates and bridges as well as on the invisible dial side of the main plate. This decoration is generated with a rotating tool that only briefly stipples the component . Perlage progresses from the outside to the inside of a part, and each stipple overlaps the previous one.
Blued screws are not only used because of their high corrosion resistance but also because they enhance the beauty of the movement. For blueing , the steel screws are slowly and cautiously heated to about 300 C.This process coats the metal with an ultra-thin layer of magnetite that gives the screws their cornflower-blue hue.
The fine adjustment adjuster allows to be regulate the movement with great precision. The device is mounted on the balance cock of the movement. The steel spring presses the index pointer laterally against the tiny set screw which allows the escapement's gain or loss to be corrected in very small increments.
All this modifications and decorations can be done in Timekeeper Chronometre Workshop, after doing the decoration the company saves the surface of the movement by gold plating , sometimes in different colors to give the decoration more contrast.

About Phenix:
The "Phenix Watch Co., SA" was founded in Porrentruy in 1873 as "Dubail, Monnin, Frossard & Cie." The company set a mark in Swiss watch history as it was the first watch company that had a registered caliber. On February 3, 1900, the company "Dubail, Monnin, Frossard & Cie" was registered as "Société d'horlogerie de Porrentruy." They won a gold medal at the Paris Exposition in 1900 already under the new name. The "Société Horlogère de Porrentruy" then changed its name to "Phenix Watch Co." in the 1920s. In the 1960s, PHENIX was part of a three clock brands entity: the two other brands were the renowned and famous Thomen and Vulcain. The latter was relaunched in 2004.

History :
Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, ex-Polish Navy, circa 1960s
The original Fifty Fathoms (that is, predating J-C Biver's resurrection of Blancpain in the 1980s) is an intriguing and complex watch. Its history is well-chronicled (beautifully and thoroughly at Dr. Strong's Fifty Fathoms website), but the involvement of several companies (Blancpain, Lip, Tornek Rayville, A. Schild, ETA), the variety of case sizes (35mm, 37mm, 38mm, 40mm and 41mm) and movements (AS 1361, 1700, 1902, 1903, 2063, Lip R23 and ETA 2873), their use by several countries' agencies (France, Germany, Poland, USA) as well as civilian editions, and literally dozens of different legitimate hands, dial and bezel combinations over some 27 years of production...complicates the story. Which is to say that a given watch can hardly be expected to embody this heritage (one posted compilation shows 98! variations), rather it must serve as a mere sampling, a shadow of the entire enterprise.
As told at the links above, the FF was the brainchild of 2 French Naval officers charged with setting up an elite underwater unit. They determined the requirements, including watertight operation at the depth of 91 meters, the accepted maximum for untethered diving...which happens to be a pinch over fifty (6-foot) fathoms. Evidently they approached the powerful French watch firm, Lip with this project but were rejected, and so moved on to Blancpain who designed the watch (which was subsequently and somewhat ironically cobranded and distributed by Lip!). Over the decades the construction of the FF evolved and varied, sometimes considerably, to meet the requirements of each distinct customer. Like many other legendary models, there is no single representative Fifty Fathoms, any more than there is one Constellation, Calatrava or Reverso.
The present watch is from about the midpoint in the FF's history, and was requisitioned by the Polish Navy. It is constructed with the large (41mm) polished case, has a monochrome 60-markings bezel with luminous triangle at the top and uses an A. Schild 2063 automatic movement, with date. To me it is a very handsome and contemporary-looking watch:
